UPDATE!!!

To all who have been waiting with baited breathe, please be patient with me as my brain has gone into hibernation as it always does after a baby. But there is cause for hope...I am starting to see signs of "normal"(relatively speaking) behavior. Bear with me I will soon return to my witty ways.

Elijah Karol Nicholas

Well here he is. Baby boy number four. I am so excited to introduce Elijah Karol to you. He is the perfect addition to our crew. I am amazed at how he is so perfectly suited for our family (Of course he is, God sent him to us and He doesn't make mistakes) . He was born at 5:37am on Divine Mercy Sunday. 26 minutes after we got to the hospital 1.5 hours after I went into labor. Thank God for our guardian angels because we raced to the hospital in the pouring rain at 70 miles an hour, running two red light on the way. Thanks to their help Elijah was not born in our van and we were able to safely dodge all of the orange construction barrels. He was 9 pounds and 20 3/4 inches long. There was a true knot in his umbilical cord. Dr. Gray, Jennifer (a dear friend and our labor support) and I thought it was so cool, Bob just wanted to pass out. The knot must have been in the cord almost from the very beginning, Elijah would have to have been very small to swim around enough to knot up his cord. Bob and I are now the parents of FOUR boys. We keep looking at each other and saying FOUR BOYS! FOUR BOYS! what an adventure. I do not feel any sadness at all that we got Eli instead of a girl, I always wanted a big bunch of boys before I had my daughters. I am having so much fun. The secret to that is just being able to embrace the chaos! Maybe even add some of your own!

One last before picture!!

The proud and Very loving big brother Josiah Eli is very alert
Benjamin is such a great help!
Somehow we don't have any pictures of Aiden and Elijah which is funny because Aiden asks to hold him the most. We will have to remedy that.

How did we end up so comfortable with God? How did our awe of God get
reduced to a lukewarm appreciation of God? How did God become a pal instead
of a heart-stopping presence? How can we think of Jesus without remembering
His ground-shaking, thunder-crashing, stormy exit on the Cross? Why aren't
we continually catching our breath and saying, "This is no ordinary God!"?
